Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Hex wrenches (included)
  • Spanner wrench
  • Screwdrivers (flat and Phillips)
  • Pliers
  • Leveling card (included)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Unbox and Inspect: Carefully remove all components from packaging and verify all parts are present using the parts checklist.
  2. Assemble Frame: Connect the vertical aluminum extrusions to the base frame using the provided screws and hex wrenches.
  3. Install X-axis Gantry: Mount the X-axis gantry onto the vertical extrusions, ensuring smooth movement without binding.
  4. Mount Print Bed: Install the heated print bed onto the Y-axis carriage, ensuring it's securely fastened.
  5. Install Extruder Assembly: Mount the Sprite direct drive extruder to the X-axis gantry and connect all cables.
  6. Connect Electronics: Route all cables to the main control board, ensuring proper connections for motors, heaters, and sensors.
  7. Level the Bed: Use the CR-Touch auto-leveling system to calibrate the print bed following the on-screen instructions.
  8. Test Run: Perform a test print to verify proper assembly and calibration.
Warning: Ensure all electrical connections are secure before powering on. Keep hands clear of moving parts during operation.

Key Features

Sprite Direct Drive Extruder

The integrated Sprite direct drive extruder provides precise filament control, reduced stringing, and excellent performance with flexible filaments.

CR-Touch Auto Leveling

Automatic bed leveling system ensures perfect first layers every time by probing multiple points on the print surface and creating a mesh compensation map.

Dual Z-axis Lead Screws

Dual Z-axis synchronization provides exceptional stability and precision, eliminating gantry sag and ensuring consistent layer quality.

PEI Magnetic Build Plate

Spring steel PEI-coated build surface provides excellent adhesion when hot and easy print removal when cool, with flexible magnetic attachment.

Silent Mainboard

TMC2209 stepper drivers provide near-silent operation while maintaining precise motor control and smooth movement.

Rapid Heating System

High-performance heating system reaches printing temperatures quickly, with the bed heating to 60°C in approximately 3 minutes.

Printing Technology Explained

FDM Technology

Fused Deposition Modeling builds objects layer by layer using thermoplastic filament

Direct Drive

Extruder mounted directly on print head for precise filament control

Auto Bed Leveling

Automatic compensation for uneven print surfaces

Filament Runout Sensor

Detects when filament runs out and pauses print

Resume Print Function

Automatically resumes printing after power interruption

High-Speed Printing

Optimized kinematics for faster printing without quality loss

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Printer won't start Power issue, main switch off Check power supply, ensure main switch is on
Poor first layer adhesion Bed not level, wrong bed temperature, dirty build surface Re-level bed, increase bed temperature, clean with isopropyl alcohol
Filament not extruding Nozzle clogged, extruder gear slipping, filament tangled Clean nozzle, check extruder tension, ensure filament spool rotates freely
Layer shifting Belt tension, loose pulleys, printing too fast Adjust belt tension, tighten pulley screws, reduce print speed
Stringing/oozing Retraction settings, printing temperature too high Adjust retraction settings, lower printing temperature
Warped prints Insufficient bed adhesion, cooling too fast, draft Use brim/raft, increase bed temperature, enclose printer

Error Codes

  • E1: Hotend temperature error - Check thermistor connection
  • E2: Bed temperature error - Check bed thermistor
  • E3: Thermal runaway - Check heating element and thermistor
  • E4: Filament runout - Load new filament
  • E5: Probe error - Check CR-Touch connection
  • E6: Motor stall - Check for obstructions in movement
